Interesting! I'm always curious about the pre-Archie brownstone days. After all in FDL Archie says Wolfe has lived there for twenty years and he (Archie) has lived there for seven, so.... what did Wolfe and Fritz do when they needed someone to run errands during that time? I suppose in those days it was a lot more common to be able to get things delivered *to* you as opposed to going out and getting them, and probably there were different guys who did different parts of Archie's job and might or might not have actually lived in the house, but, anyway, it's interesting to think about what exactly happened the day Wolfe was like "the hell with this, we're gonna hire that Goodwin kid and have HOT AND COLD RUNNING ERRANDS 24/7." *G*
