I'd forgotten about Dora Chapin and Wolfe's complete lack of knowledge about what women might want done to their hair. *g* It is an interesting contrast - and I think particularly in terms of the way it subverts the typical ladies man mythos. A ladies man shouldn't, traditionally, know anything about beauty regimes except whether the end result is hot or not, but Archie's able to identify the colour by brand name on sight!
